Arles market

We had to come back fir a break...tres  Magnifique!

Bon jour. Arrive Arles!

Well here we are at our apartment in Arles...so damn cute but honestly made for Pygmies me thinks.  Excellent locale...restaurants and bars around the corner and the market tomorrow morning is basically on the doorstep.
Sad to say goodbye to Mark and Sheila this morning...and most importantly Chica... Such a heavenly place to just chill out.  On on now to see Provence. Looking forward to the food and the history.  Beautiful so far.

Well....we seemed to have arrived at the Arse end of Spain.... Then... Arrived at this little peice of paradise.  Here is our home for 2 nights.  Set in undulating hills, nestled in an olive grove.  I am not shifting until Friday.  Going to soak it all in.  mmmm

Benidom

The drive yesterday was long but interesting as the landscape changed from olive groves to almond groves,  through a canyon, what looked like a Martian landscape, through mountains and then we finally hit the Mediterranean coast.  This was our sunset dinner on the terrace. The very pretty apartment has a panoramic view over the Med' with a shear drop over the wall. Went to sleep last night with the waves gently lapping.  Bliss,  10/10 Badger but perhaps I may deduct 1/2 a point as our host informed us " no whiffy" - 'WiFi' having to try to find a cafe later to post this.

At El Barco

After a 6 hour drive we arrived at Benidorm.  The  apartment has million dollar views out to the Mediterranean Sea but is away from the town itself.  The daft bat has deemed it only a nine because the material girl has no WiFi.  Can't see the problem myself as we are about to go for a coffee and use a local cafe's free WiFi.  Last night was a beautiful full moon and dinner on the balcony was pretty special.  The only downside is my poor wife who, with all the glass doors, still can't work out if they are open or closed and keeps walking into them.

On on

Forgive the focus on the cathedral photo... Deliberately done.. Posted it for fellow artist's...looks like an Alvero Castinet painting.( forgive spelling)
Photo of the square...you can just make out the Badger heading toward the bar.

Orf to Benidorm...well near there apparently.

Sort of like an out of body experience this morning...no plush dining room and I had to make my own coffee...can you believe it???  what is going on here?  Waiter..waiter????? Down to earth with a bump..no make that a crash.
We pick up the car in about an hour and then head to Benidorm and face a 7 hour drive.  Epic day ahead but after that should be cruisie pace for the rest of the time.
Hoping we get the hang of this right side of the road bizzo pretty quick.

Gordoba hola!
